Audiology and Hearing Aid Services
Diagnostic Audiologic Evaluations
Scheduled and performed by our licensed and nationally certified Hearing Healthcare Professional are subject to professional fees. Insurance often covers these services.
Hearing Aid Evaluation and Selection
During a hearing aid evaluation, you will meet with a licensed professional who will discuss with you the different styles, colors, technologies, and benefits to wearing hearing aids. You may be shown different styles or have the opportunity to try different hearing aids in the office. Custom impressions may be taken of your ears, depending on the style of hearing aid chosen.
Hearing Aid Dispensing & Fitting
At the hearing aid fitting, you will receive the hearing aids you selected. They are programmed based on a prescription that is specific to each person’s hearing loss. The hearing professional may make adjustments after you try the hearing aids to make sure the settings and fit are ideal for you.
Hearing Aid Repairs
Some minor hearing aid repairs can be done in the office setting in a short period of time; others will need to be sent to the manufacturer for repair. Your hearing professional can help determine what kind of a repair is necessary if you feel your hearing aid is not working properly.
Live Speech Mapping
Live Speech Mapping is a fitting process that uses probe microphones and live real-time speech to allow the patient and their family members to immediately see and understand the benefits of hearing aids and fitting adjustments.
Assistive Listening Devices
Sometimes your hearing aids just aren't enough to combat all the complex listening needs and environments we live within. Many individuals can benefit from direct audio input devices such as FM technology, wireless microphones, Television streamers, amplified alarm clocks, doorbells and smoke detectors.
Aural Rehabilitation
The key to helping anyone with a hearing impairment become successful with their choice of treatment is through education and guidance. Dr. Kricket spends a good portion of her time educating her clients on how their impairment works, what can be rehabilitated and how to deal with the residual challenges that remain.
Custom Hearing Products
We make many custom ear products that are not hearing aids. We make custom musician plugs, in ear monitors, swim molds, hearing protection, and music devices.
Evaluation and Selection of Amplification
Each patient will be carefully evaluated and educated on the current options and technologies regarding modern amplification choices available today. Throughout the process individualized presentations and care will be taken to customize each recommendation.
Oto-Acoustic Emissions
This is a special, non-behavioral way to test hearing. It allows us to test individuals who are not able to do traditional diagnostic behavioral hearing exams, verify questionable results and provide quick normal/abnormal screenings.
Public Service
We do public speaking on various topics that are relevant to hearing and balance. We have done talks with nursing homes, health fairs, preschools and senior centers. If you need a professional to come and engage with your group, please don't hesitate to call and we will tailor something just for
